The band is flexible, responsive and available for a wide range of events from small private parties to large corporate outings.
Our mission is simple. Represent the City of Chicago, the Fire Department and the fine people who serve with pride, honor and tradition. Promote the great tradition of pipe & drum culture. Maintain the highest standard of performance.
In 2009 we expect our momentum to gain speed. A new group of developmental players will begin in early summer and a few members will be attending conferences in Dallas, Texas.
As demand grows for the band we will continue to answer the call.

Membership is open to all CFD personnel and their immediate family. New faces are always welcome and no musical experience is required. Our pipe & drum instructors have created an exceptional learning environment that is supportive and fosters a true sense of fraternity.
We meet every Thursday evening at Quinn Academy and encourage interested members to sit in on any practice. New groups of pipers and drummers begin twice a year. There is no cost for group instruction.
